About HHPC
Houay Ho Power Company (HHPC)
HHPC is a joint venture between Glow, the Electricite du Laos (EDL), and WHA Energy 2 Co., Ltd. It owns and operates a hydroelectric power plant in Attapeu province in Southern Laos. The plant is among the first IPP plants built in Laos and it reached the commercial operation in September 1999. The electricity production from this plant is sold under long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs) to EGAT and in small extent to EDL to be distributed for the consumption of the communities in the nearby area.
Power Plant
A 152 MW hydroelectric IPP Power Plant began commercial operation 1999. The company operates in accordance with build, operate and transfer (BOT) agreement with Lao government, supplies electricity to EDL, and also exports electricity to EGAT, Thailand.
